Certification Training Programs

The ADA Coordinator Training (ACT) Certification Program certifies that ADA Coordinators have completed quality training that provides the knowledge-base and tools necessary to be effective in the role of an ADA Coordinator. This is a collaborative training program of the ADA National Network offered through the University of Missouri School of Health Professions Disability Studies and Policy Center and the Great Plains ADA Center.

Subject-specific webinars and audio conferences that provide in-depth information on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), accessible technology, and other related topics to enhance an individuals existing knowledge base or facilitate continued learning regarding regulations and trends under the ADA and disability-related topics presented by renown ADA and disability experts.

Industry, Technology & the ADA

Hospitality and Disability Initiative • ADAhospitality.org

A web portal designed to promote accessibility and opportunity for people with disabilities in the hospitality industry. Materials, resources, and training aim to help hospitality businesses expand their market share by effectively reaching and serving customers with disabilities, and are also designed to assist lodging and food service employers recruit, hire, and retain qualified workers with disabilities. This initiative of the ADA National Network is hosted by the Mid-Atlantic ADA Center, in collaboration with TransCen, Inc.- Career and Workforce Development.

A web portal designed to build a partnership between the disability and business communities to promote full and unrestricted participation in society for persons with disabilities through awareness of technology that is accessible to all. A comprehensive database tool that provides information pertaining to significant rulings under the Employment (Title I), Local and State Government (Title II) and Places of Public Accommodations (Title III) provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) searchable in various ways, including but not limited to disability type, discrimination issue, jurisdiction and remedy. This initiative is a mechanism to track major decisions and summarize the key issues so that they are understandable to a broader audience - hosted by the Great Lakes ADA Center on behalf of the ADA National Network.

Tools, including articles, checklists, a glossary, and links to useful disability resources, to help Human Resource (HR) professionals build inclusive workplaces in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Articles are divided into four topic areas: Disability Nondiscrimination Regulations, Management and HR Practice, Employment Process, Accommodations of Specific Disabilities. This is an initiative of the Northeast ADA Center, one of ten regional centers in the ADA National Network, and a program of EDI (Employment and Disability Institute) at Cornell University - ILR School.
